Did you know that on average adult dogs have 42 teeth and adult cats have 30 teeth? Cats and dogs can develop gingivitis, bad breath, tooth decay, and tooth root abscesses without proper dental care.

Regular brushing can help keep your pet's teeth and gums healthy, and maintain fresh breath. Professional dental cleanings are recommended to clean, scale and polish the teeth and determine the extent of any dental disease. Dental radiographs, or x-rays, are an important diagnostic tool used by your veterinarian to evaluate areas of the tooth below the gumline for any pocketing around the root of the tooth, bone loss or infection.

Home dental care is just as important for our pets as it is for us humans. For helpful tips on how to get started, watch this short video with Dr. Sheldon Rubin of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

I love these guys! I was referred to them by my usual vet when they were completely booked and I was in a jam to get my sick kitty checked out before I left town. City Pets Vet worked me in immediately, gave my kitty great care, were very reasonable on pricing (did not ever try to upsell me on services or products), and were SO friendly to deal with. I will definitely go back! I have every confidence in their services.
